The museum has been put up in a beautiful restored Flemish farm.
It is a flax farm of the 19th century with a typical inner yard,
orchard and meadows where animals bring extra conviviality.
The Museum displays in 26 very realistic scenes the flax growing
and the evolution of the flax preparation as it was done in the
last centuries in Flanders during the handicraft period till the
beginning of the mechanization: an important piece of social and
economic history in Flanders !
